Planned Parenthood/Mid-Hudson Valley operates six medical centers, located throughout Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties, which provide a wide range of comprehensive sexual health services. They focus on prevention - the prevention of unintended pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, cancer and other illnesses - and their medical staff works closely with clients to find affordable, safe and effective options. Planned Parenthood's Education and Outreach Department offers programs throughout the mid-Hudson Valley, as well as specialized training for professionals, parents and their children, peer educators, clergy and other health care professionals.

The Comprehansive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention program is funded by the NYS Dept. of Health. Through the implementation of evidence based programs, this initiative strives to: delay the onset of sexual activity, reduce frequency of sex, reduce the number of sexual partners, increase negotiation & decision making skills, increase condom & other contraceptive use.
Programs can be offered through schools, after school programs and community based organizations at no cost.
