Sponsored by the Ulster County Department of Social Services and the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office and facilitated by the Family & Child Advocacy Center, this program is based on the work of Cory Jewell Jensen, Co-Director of the Center for Behavioral Intervention, an Oregon based sex offender program. Ms. Jensen developed this program to share information she learned from convicted sex offenders with parents and community groups. Topics covered: What is child sexual abuse? Who are the child molesters? Why certain children, families and communities are “picked.” What to do if you suspect abuse or a child discloses abuse. What organizations are doing to protect children.
