A Disability Resource Coordinator (DRC) is available at the Ulster Works OneStop Center to assist individuals with disabilities who are on SSI or SSDI plan for employment and navigate a system of agencies where support is available. The DRC meets with customers and provides information about services offered by local agencies and organizations. The duties of the DRC include: Helping customers find and use programs that boost their abilities to find employment, or keep a job, aid customers in becoming self-sufficient through work, cooperate with local agencies to increase job placements, build bridges with agencies and organizations to expand job related services, provide access to a computer equipped with specialized hardware as well as applications to assist those who have visual impairment.

Resource Center for Accessible Living, Inc. (RCAL) is a non-profit, community based service and advocacy organization run by and for people with any type of disability. Since 1983, RCAL has been dedicated to assisting and empowering individuals, of all ages, to live independently and participate in all aspects of community life. RCAL, as an Independent Living Center, has a long tradition of consumer controlled and directed service delivery. It is RCAL’s philosophy that people with disabilities can and should make their own choices and decisions, and take control of all issues that affect their daily lives – education, employment, housing, health care, recreation etc.

The Center for Spectrum Services is a nationally recognized, New York State approved, not-for-profit program serving the needs of people with Autism Spectrum Disorders and the community that support them. Our agency is a respected leader in the best practices and has a history of excellence that spans more than three decades. Programs offered for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders include: Education Programs and Schools for children ages 3-12 in Kingston and Ellenville, Community Based Services for children under age five, a Spectrum Services Clinic that offers diagnostic evaluations to identify Autism Spectrum Disorders in people of all ages. All care is provided by New York State Certified expert practicioners.School referrals are accepted from public schools and counties in the Hudson Valley.

Ulster Works One-Stop Career Center is part of a network of One-Stop Career Centers in NYS that are focused on serving SSA disability beneficiaries in the return to work process. If you are a Social Security beneficiary between the ages of 18 and not yet 65, you have a "Ticket" that can be used at a participating Employment Network. Some of the services include: career counseling, resume development, individual job development, long-term follow-up supports, rights & responsibilities under the ADA, SSA disability benefits advisement.
