iLoveKickboxing is a boutique fitness program that is designed to burn fat, tone muscle and you have a blast while doing so. We discovered that boredom is the number one reason most people stop working out! Causes of boredom come from lame exercises and routines that get old and stale. Classes are sixty minutes long and we can assure you that you will NEVER get bored! Instructors do a great job of ALWAYS keeping it fun, engaging, challenging, and exciting! You get to strap on real kickboxing gloves and learn pro moves that make you feel like a rock star - and get lean like a fighter! We begin with a warm-up that is the hottest fat burning exercise on the market right now: HIIT, otherwise known as High Intensity Interval Training. During this segment we do a series of all different body weight conditioning exercises such as pushups, sit-ups, squats, and much more! These exercises burn a TON of calories both during the workout and for the rest of the day (or night) after the workout. Don't let the idea of "push ups" scare you away though - the workout is 100% self paced! Although the instructors will motivate you to work harder, it will be up to you how many reps of each set to do within a given amount of time. What you’ll come to love about the warm up is the fast improvements your body will make! You’ll notice that within a very short amount of time your body will be capable of doing a lot more reps of each exercise! The real beauty about those small improvements is that you will see results which will bring you to better yourself even more! Eventually you will accomplish those long term fitness goals you’ve been yearning for!
After the warm up, more fun begins! We slip our hands into our boxing gloves, Velcro our wrist straps nice and tight, and get ready to kick and punch the heavy bags!! Here at iLovekickboxing we do REAL kickboxing moves on REAL heavy bags where no one is kicking or punching you back... talk about a great way to relieve stress! Bag rounds aren't only great for burning calories, but it also reaps amazing benefits as far as cardio, muscular endurance, toning, core strength, coordination, AND flexibility! Each heavy bag weighs around 150 pounds, so every time you punch or kick the bag, resistance is working against you thereby making your muscles stronger. Each move involves body parts from your head to your toes, so you can guarantee your coordination will improve more and more each time you take a class. For example, when we throw our hook punches we pivot on the ball of our foot while using our core and hip muscles to send power into the heavy bag. After doing that for a few straight minutes round after round your muscular endurance, as well as your cardiovascular endurance is bound to increase.
