Tai Chi for Arthritis
The NYS Department of Health and Older Adult Fall Prevention Program are coming together to offer 'Tai Chi for Arthritis' classes at the Esopus Town Hall and Community Center.
Starting July 11th, the class will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 2-3 PM for eight weeks.
Tai Chi combines slow movement with deep breathing, and increases strength and balance to prevent falls. It also reduces stress and supports relaxation.
This is a program that builds on each class, and the organizers ask that you are willing to make the commitment to be at this class twice a week for all eight weeks.
Since space is limited, participants must RSVP and call the Office for the Aging at (845) 340-3456.
