Hudson Valley Seed and Robert Graves Elementary School need your help to get the garden ready for classes!

In the coming year, Robert Graves students will use their school garden as a living laboratory to grow and eat delicious fresh produce. To prepare the garden to be a classroom space, people of all ages are asked to stop by the Robert Graves garden on September 16th from 10 AM-1 PM to lend a hand, learn a skill, and share a meal!

During the Garden Work Party, participants will:

• Lay down a wood chip path

• Create a "digging station" for decomposer exploration

• Weed the perimeter of the garden to make space for future garden projects

• Share a potluck (optional–bring a dish if you’d like to partake!)

• Discuss the plans for the outdoor learning space for the coming year

• Celebrate the transformation with a banner hanging and photo!

The garden work begins at 10:00 AM. People of all ages and physical ability are encouraged to participate in this work party.

Please remember to dress for the weather and to bring water and sunscreen. Some tools and gloves will be provided, but please bring your own if you have them!
