"Broadway Commons" - First annual Community Celebration Day in Kingston

Saturday, April 29, 2017
11:00am - 3:00pm
Rain or Shine-Parking available in the free municipal lot next to Frank Guido's Little Italy.
Fun-filled day, will include a children's march down Henry St., beginning at George Washington Elementary School, a petting zoo, circus entertainers, local performers, and free food.
The event will also give community members an opportunity to meet members of Kingston Police Department and Kingston Fire Department. While staff of these two public safety agencies spend a great deal of time in the community, this is a special opportunity to get to know them outside of an emergency setting.
In addition, this will also be an opportunity to revisit "Broadway Commons" at 615 Broadway and envision how this space will evolve in the coming years. Transforming this vacant lot into a vibrant, multi-use community square will be a labor of love and will require each of us to be committed to a shared vision.  All supported by Community partners, including the Bruderhof, the Bardavon/Ulster Performing Arts Center, the Kingston City School District, local churches and community groups.  Featuring non-stop entertainment.  For more information, including event sponsorship details, visit www.bardavon.org or contact  at 845-334-3964 or at mweiss@kingston-ny.gov

"I hope you will save the date and help us build the unity in this Community Celebration Day!"
