Bike for Cancer Care 5K Run/Walk

The Benedictine Health Foundation will pay tribute to David Blakely at the 14th annual Bike for Cancer Care 5K Run/Walk Sept. 17, at Dietz Stadium to celebrate his tremendous passion for life and gift of helping and inspiring others in the community.

The bike ride offers a 12-, 25-, and 50-mile route, a non-competitive 5K Run/Walk throughout historic Uptown Kingston, and a Kids Fun Run inside Dietz Stadium with supervised children’s activities for parents in the 5K. Funds raised through the event will benefit the foundation’s Rosemary D. Gruner Memorial Cancer Fund, which provides financial assistance to local cancer patients while they receive treatment. According to the website, the fund provides assistance in the form of grocery and/or fuel gift cards to patients who meet its financial and clinical qualifications.

Registration begins at 7:45 a.m.

Food, beverages and ice cream will be provided compliments of our Platinum Sponsors – Hannaford Supermarkets and Stewart’s Ice Cream Shops! There will be live entertainment, children’s activities, raffles, and great prizes for the top three individuals and team fundraisers.
