The Tour De Kingston is a community bicycling event for all ages and abilities.   We have road rides, rail trail rides and a road-and-trail “Endurance Ride,” for the more adventurous.  Our 5-mile “Family Ride,” on the other hand, is something anyone in the community can take part in.  We ride through the flat streets of Uptown and Midtown Kingston at a slow pace and are escorted by the Kingston Police Department and volunteer Ride Marshalls. We provide the riders with healthy snacks and a BBQ lunch after the ride.

The event provides benefits far beyond the fun and camaraderie of the rides alone.  It furthers a healthy community by encouraging kids and grown ups to get active and have fun.  We also aim to bring visitors to enjoy Ulster County’s scenic, historic and culinary assets.

Proceeds from the ride go to support the YMCA’s Youth Bicycle Safety Programs.   Last year the Y served over 400 youth, teaching them safe riding skills and how to wear a helmet properly.  Thanks to our sponsors and riders, the Tour also awards community educational scholarships.
